Revamped concept

Shadow is a Kelpie from Scottish and Irish mythology. I altered the facts a tiny bit from the actual tale to fit my story.

In my story he is notorious for killing guillable humans into riding him, once they are mounted on him they cannot get off and is drowned and eaten by him. He controls the large lake in Zadiwan and was part of a demonic horse herd lead by a ruthless 'Rogue' Stallion, Each Uisge but left to find his own not liking his ways.
Shadow, like other Kelpies, can shapeshift into a human to further lure humans. In his human form he can change body parts into those in his horse form. However his horn remains but well hidden in the mohawk-like tuft of his hair.

He was finally captured by an abusive horse tamer. He broke free and turned the tables on her killing her. However doing this caused him to be trapped and was rescued by Yuuki, He eventually becomes her summon.

Shadow is not so friendly with humans and will only tolerate Yuuki and cooperate with her. In his human form he is not very expressive and hides his emotions greatly

LOL... I love the skulls on each of them!
One thing though... (forgive me, it's the Animal Science in me) In horses, they're measured in 'hands'. So, if you wanted to KNOW or CARE, your kelpie would be 19.5 hands! And that's one tall drink of water... (no pun intended! ^^; )

nice profiles and illustration the color scheme works for both, yeah i see what you mean about the plaid lol, it's still good though:)

Thank you for telling me that actually, I forgot about the hand measurement and didn't know how to figure it out so I just made an assumption. What would be the average size of a horse (I thirst for animal knowledge myself actually)

A mythological scottish monster. It takes the form of a human or horse to attract people deep in the woods. Once straddled you cannot get off and the monster horse races to the lake to drown you. There is another one (name complicated) that actually consumes human (or to be more precise, their livers)
